[PDF] Harpitree Beginner Harp Course

From Zero to Harpist in 9 Weeks — No Experience Needed

harpitree level 0-1 (level 0: newbie | level 1: early-beginner)

You've never read music. You've never touched a harp. That's exactly where this course begins.

The Harpitree Beginner Course takes you from your very first note to confidently playing melody and harmony — hands together, with real musical expression — in just 9 weeks (or less, if you're on a roll).

No levers required. No prior music experience needed. Just you, your harp, and a proven step-by-step method designed by a professional harp teacher with over a decade of experience.

What You'll Learn

Week 1 — Meet Your Harp We start at the very beginning: the different types of harps, how your instrument works, and how to sit and hold your hands correctly. You'll learn to read music notes on the harp and play your first exercise with beautiful hand posture from day one.

Weeks 2–4 — Your First Fingers One hand at a time. You'll build confidence with your right hand first — playing scales, simple melodies like Mary Had a Little Lamb, Twinkle Twinkle, and Jumping Rabbit — before bringing both hands together. By Week 4, you'll be playing hands-together pieces including a waltz and the playful Shark Song.

Weeks 5–7 — Two Fingers Become Four Step by step, you add fingers — first Finger 1 & 2 together, then the harmonic technique, then Fingers 1, 2 & 3. Each week introduces new music theory (quaver and half notes, intervals) alongside real pieces: Lavender's Blue, London Bridge, and Morning Walk.

Weeks 8–9 — Four Fingers, Full Sound All four fingers, both hands, real music. You'll play Lavender's Blue in full arrangement and the elegant Etude — pieces that will genuinely impress your friends and family.

Bonus Lessons — Turning & Arpeggios Go beyond the basics with turning technique and arpeggios, the signature flowing sound of the harp. Bonus pieces include the beautiful Jasmine Flower.
